As owner/founder/CEO of Texas Motor Transportation Consultants (TMTC), Sheri L. Parrack assists transportation companies, leasing corporations, banking institutions, attorneys and individuals in motor vehicle tax law and regulatory compliance. Parrack established her company in 1980, and today she and her staff of 14 assist a nationwide client base, in 48 states. Parrack attributes her success as a business owner to God, her staff, family, friends and continuing education.

Parrack has been recognized as a business leader in the Houston Chronicle, Houston Business Journal, Women’s Enterprise, a monthly paper published in Dallas, and numerous educational publications, nationwide. She has been featured on audio tape by the Kaufman Educational Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership, entitled “Launching and Leading Successful Ventures”.

Parrack’s company was recognized one of the Top 50 Fastest Growing Woman-Owned Business in Houston in 2009, 2007 and 2004! Parrack credits this honor to God, her incredible staff and her wonderful clients!

Parrack has been recognized by DiversityBusiness.com as an outstanding business woman from 2011 – 2007 by naming her as one of the Top 500 Woman-Owned Business in the United States in numerous categories and one of the Top 100 Woman – Owned Business in the State of Texas in numerous categories.

Parrack’s recognition as a National Business Woman begin In 1992 when she was selected as one of the TOP TEN Business Women in the United States representing the American Business Women’s Association. In 1994 she was selected as a finalist for “Entrepreneur of the Year” an annual award sponsored by the Houston Chronicle newspaper. INC, Magazine recognized her in 1994 and also in 1994 she was selected as a “Woman of Excellence” for the Federation of Houston Professional Women. Parrack was inducted as a Kentucky Colonel, by the Governor of Kentucky in 1996, and has received the key to numerous cities in Texas, Indiana, Kentucky and California for her commitment to education. She was a candidate for Working Woman Excellence – 2000 & 2001, by Working Woman Magazine.

Parrack served on the National Board of Directors for the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA), an elected position, from 1994 – 1996. She continues to serve in numerous leadership positions in ABWA and mentors to both women and men business owners, and those aspiring to be entrepreneurs.

Parrack says that one of the highlights of her ABWA membership was traveling to China in 1998 with 27 members nationwide. The members were invited by the Chinese Association of Science and Technology to mentor to Chinese business women. Parrack spent 14 days in four cities in China.

Parrack is actively involved in the Federation of Houston Professional Women and has served on the Federation’s Board of Directors from 1998 to 2010. She served as President for the organization in 2001. Parrack served for 6 years on the Board of Directors for the FHPW Educational Foundation 2003-2008, serving as President, 2005 – 2008. FHPWEF is a 501(c) (3). She was appointed Chair for the FHPW Advisory Council for 2003-2009. Parrack is again serving on the FHPWEF Board for 2011-2012 as FHPWEF Senior Vice President.

She is also actively involved in the National Association of Women Business Owner’s (NAWBO). She has served on the Board of Directors from 2005-2011, including President from 2008/2009. Parrack was named as Woman Business Owner of the Year in 2004 by NAWBO. It is the only award given to a Woman business Owner by Women Business Owner’s.

Parrack has been actively involved in the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, since 1983. The HLS&R has over 100 committees with over 20,000 volunteers who contribute their time and talents to benefit Texas youth and support education. Parrack extends her belief in education as a Life Member and has served on the “World’s Championship Bar-B-Q Committee” for 27 years. She served on the management group for the Bar-Q Committee for 13 years. She was selected as a Division Chairman for the Bar B Q Committee to serve a three year term from 2000 – 2002, and was the first woman to serve in that management position. She also served as a committee member for the “Corral Club Committee” for 15 years.

Parrack has been recognized by Presidents George Bush and Bill Clinton, Vice President Dan Quayle and Texas Governors George W. Bush and Rick Perry for her leadership and community involvement in Houston.
