Interstate Carrier - Comply with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) requirements & Register with UCR Exclusively Intrastate Carrier - Register with TXDOT as a Motor Carrier Exclusively Intrastate Carrier transporting oversize/overweight loads - Register with TXDOT as a Motor Carrier OR Interstate Carrier that also operates Intrastate, using commercial motor vehicles as defined in Transportation Code (TRC) Chapter 643 and when operating as a: 1. Charter bus carrier 2. Non-consent two truck carrier 3. For-Hire household goods carrier, or 4. Recyclable and waste carrier, *Comply with FMCSA requirements *Register with TXDOT as a motor carrier AND *Register with UCR IMPORTANT NOTE: All first time registrants in this category must also register with TXDOT as a motor carrier.
